INTRODUCTION TO NOODLE CULTURE OF VIETNAM
Being an agricultural country and the 2nd biggest rice exporter in the world, steamed rice (cơm) and rice noodles are irreplaceable dishes for all Vietnamese people.
It is said that in Vietnam, noodles have the most diverse shapes and recipes. People can find them in all colors, fresh or dried, flat or round, soft or crunchy, big or small, served in a bowl of broth or just mixed with herbs, stir-fried with vegetables or wrapped up in rice paper rolls…Noodles are dishes for everyone, regardless of their background, they can be served in fancy restaurants but are mostly enjoyed at street stalls. These staple dishes are for all Vietnamese in every corner of the country morning, noon or night.
